Becalmed Canvas Wall Art

Becalmed Canvas Wall Art - 80 x 120cm | Online8 New Zealand

Two small yachts sitting motionless on flat water under a pale sky, shot in black and white with the masts running the full height of the frame. Canvas at 80 x 120cm in a black L-frame. There is almost nothing in the picture, which is the point — it is mostly empty water and sky, and that stillness is what makes it work in a bedroom or a hallway.

Why It Stands Apart

• Minimal composition — two boats and a lot of empty water, which reads as calm rather than sparse
• Black and white throughout, so it will not clash with anything already in the room
• Vertical masts give the piece height and stop a still image feeling flat
• Black L-frame defines a very pale image against a white wall
• A coastal subject handled without any of the usual nautical clichés

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it show up on a white wall?
The image is pale but the black frame gives it a clear edge. On a soft grey or blue wall it reads more strongly still.

Is it glazed?
No — canvas, so no glass and no glare.

Does it pair with anything?
It sits well alongside other monochrome pieces in this range, such as Rockwall, Touch or Mane II.

How much wall does it need?
Around 1.2m of clear width.
